In our collection, we use the same viscose fabrics for our blouses that we use for our women’s dresses. For example, we have very airy voile viscose, satin viscose, and stretch viscose. Here’s an explanation of the viscose summer dresses we have in the JANICE collection
This is the lightest viscose—the name “voile viscose” says it all. It’s a thinner fabric that breathes very well. Not only ideal for summer dresses, but also great for women’s blouses.
Super soft, satin viscose has a silky satin feel. Softer than the softest clouds. This viscose fabric is slightly heavier than voile viscose. A dress made from this satin viscose will make you feel very feminine. Shop now for JANICE’s viscose women’s dresses!
We’ve added stretch viscose to our collection for the first time this season, and it’s already a huge hit. It stretches where needed thanks to the spandex blended in. Of course, this viscose women’s dress is also breathable. We’ve used this fabric to create the Hudson women’s dress, which features a fitted bodice, a loose-fitting bottom, and two side pockets.
Viscose can be washed at a low temperature without any issues, unless the care label indicates otherwise. Keep in mind, however, that frequent washing causes clothing to wear out faster. Viscose has a natural shrinkage rate of 4–8%. Shrunken viscose can easily be ironed back into its original shape after washing.
Hand wash
Viscose can be hand-washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C. When wet, the strength of the fiber is reduced by half. It should therefore not be cleaned by rubbing or brushing.
Machine wash
Viscose can be easily machine washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Wash viscose on a wool or silk cycle using a neutral soap or wool detergent. Turn the garment inside out and place it in a laundry bag to prevent friction. Never wash viscose together with clothing that has protruding elements, such as zippers.
Drying viscose
To prevent wrinkles, it is recommended to spin-dry briefly or not at all after the final rinse. Do not put viscose in the dryer, as it may shrink. Lay-flat drying is recommended: roll the garment in a towel and then hang it out again, unrolled.
Ironing viscose
If you want to iron viscose garments, it helps if the fabric is still fairly damp. Do not set the iron to the highest setting, as viscose cannot withstand that. To prevent the fabric from becoming shiny, it is best to iron viscose on the inside of the garment.
Removing
stains from viscose Stains on viscose are best removed with a liquid detergent. Apply the detergent directly to the stain and rinse by hand or wash the garment in the washing machine.
Storing viscose
Viscose is best hung up. Use as few clothespins as possible when hanging it up, as these leave noticeable marks on the fabric.
Important
: When washing viscose, always follow the instructions on the care label inside the garment.
